NI Beijing office receives award for Outstanding Contributions to the Development of the Stainless Steel Industry in China

Held on 25th and 26th July, 2012 in Taiyuan and hosted by CSSC (Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises Association), the 60th Anniversary Celebration of China’s Stainless Steel Industrialization was a high-profile gathering with over 300 delegates who made significant contributions to China’s stainless steel development, industrial representatives from home and abroad, as well as international organizations, such as NI and ICDA.

The Nickel Institute Beijing Office was awarded “Outstanding Contributor to the Development of China’s Stainless Steel Industry” during the ceremony together with 5 other Chinese organizations. NI was the only international organization among them. It was commented that “Nickel Institute Beijing Office has been an outstanding contributor to the development of China’s stainless steel industry. The Nickel Institute has been dedicated to both raising the public awareness of nickel and stainless steel, and promoting their applications in many sectors. The Nickel Institute’s contribution to China’s stainless industry has been so impressive that it will be remembered forever.”

After the presentation of the award Licheng Zhang gave an acceptance speech, briefing the audience about the Nickel Institute’s activities in China, and stating that the Nickel Institute will continue to support the stable development of stainless steel in China and to join hands with Chinese partners to make even greater contribution to China’s stainless steel industry.
