Les braves

In 2004, the creation and installation of a major work of art entitled "The Braves" on the mythic Omaha Beach in Normandy was done; this comprises a set of three monumental stainless steel sculptures in homage to courage. “The Braves” became the official sculpture of the 60th anniversary commemoration of the World War II Normandy landings. The sculptures are still visible on the site of Omaha Beach. On high tides, the sea comes across the sculpture.

In 2013, a special stamp with the Braves has been edited by the French Post Office for the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landing (1944-2014).
