Austenitic brochure published in Italian

The International Molybdenum Association is pleased to announce that the ‘Practical Guidelines for the Fabrication of High Performance Austenitic Stainless Steels’ brochure is now available in Italian as well as English.

The 72-page brochure explains the metallurgy and alloying of austenitic stainless steel and its mechanical, physical and corrosion-resistance properties. There are detailed chapters on hot and cold forming, cutting, machining, heat treatment, welding and mechanical joining methods. Post-fabrication clean-up and surface finishes are also discussed.

Dr Nicole Kinsman, IMOA Technical Director said: “There is a lot of interest in austenitic stainless steel in Italy and it was suggested that we produce an Italian version. We would like to express our thanks to EuroInox for arranging and organising the translation. We hope to publish in further languages where there is sufficient demand.”

The brochure is published by IMOA in conjunction with the Nickel Institute and the International Chromium Development Association and is available to download from the IMOA website. Click here
