Disinfection in medical environments

Thanks to its unique properties of being chemically inert, non-toxic, non-absorbent and smooth in-surface, stainless steel is used widely in many applications across health care facilities and hospitals. It can be easily cleaned, disinfected and sterilized safely without degradation or corrosion.

This independent Team Stainless commissioned study, which examines the effectiveness of disinfection on stainless steel in hospital environments, concluded that standard cleaning and disinfection effectively sanitized all stainless steel samples, regardless of grade, surface finish or simulated age. This confirms the continued safety of using stainless steel in hospital environments.
